At birth, Baylor weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 21 1/2″ long. He joins sister, Bryndle. The grandparents are Rick and Kathleen Danielson of Grass Valley and Andy Nichols of The Dalles.

JOYFULLY! Kristi and Todd Dickson, of Madras, are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Alden Ray Dickson, at 9:42 am on April 3, at St. Charles Bend. At birth, Alden weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces. He joins brother, Owen, 5 and sister, Eileen, 3.  The grandparents are Rick and Kathleen Danielson of Grass Valley and Dave and Melinda Dickson of Antelope.

VISITOR CENTER HOSTS – Oregon Paleo Lands Center May-October 2018. The Oregon Paleo Lands Center is seeking qualified volunteers now for three Visitor Center Host assignments:   May-June, July-August, and September-October. This is an exciting new position to meet, welcome, and educate visitors and school groups from all over Oregon and the United States. As you help visitors at the Oregon Paleo Lands Center, you will learn about the spectacular natural/cultural history of the John Day Basin. The Center will provide you with training and assistance and with free camping at the Wheeler County Fairgrounds RV Park. The attractive Center is located next to the historic Wheeler County Courthouse in downtown Fossil, a friendly, small community (20 miles from Condon, 65 miles from Madras).  The Center is within a short walking distance from a full range of local services such as stores, restaurants, post office, bank, and laundry. LOCAL HOST FAMILIES FOR HIGH SCHOOL EXCHANGE STUDENTS.
