And thank you to everyone who so generously donated to the Sherman County Historical Society Endowment Fund and webpage update project in honor of Sherry’s birthday. Sherry, we appreciate all your years of service not only to the Sherman County Historical Society & Museum but also to the entire community of Sherman County! Happy 80th Birthday!

THANK YOU to everyone who honored my 80th birthday with contributions to our national award-winning Sherman County Historical Museum where I volunteered for many years. You make me smile. I made new friends, learned new skills and shared a lot of laughs, challenges and successes! Exceptional teamwork! The very best! Sherman County Senior & Community Center Director.  Sherman County is accepting employment applications for the position of Senior Center Director at the Sherman County Senior & Community Center. Position is permanent part-time salaried, 20hr/week. BASKETBALL REFEREES. Seriously! In case you missed them, articles describing the critical shortage of referees for school athletics were published in The Dalles Chronicle and The Times-Journal in recent days: “The number of referees available to preside over basketball games in five counties has declined to the point that it could soon adversely affect the ability of young athletes to compete. … more officials are needed to take a neutral point of view and make spot decisions that enforce the rules of the game for students from fifth grade through high school.
